DESCRIPTION:This course will look at how to understand and appraise researc
 h articles. We will learn how to quickly read a paper and grasp its key fi
 ndings\, how to interpret and understand key data\, how to appraise a pape
 r’s methods and assess its usefulness and value. We will look at ‘inte
 rnal validity’ - how close the research has got to the ‘truth’\, and
  ‘external validity’ - can the research be usefully applied in our own
  work situation? Overall the course aims to help you become a better user
