DESCRIPTION:Scholarly communication is evolving towards Open Access and Ope
 n Science\, with increasing requirements for managing and publishing data.
  As a result\, librarians have a role to play in making biomedical researc
 h accessible and guiding authors through the myriad of options available t
 o them. They also need to carve out unique roles in the dissemination proc
 ess. Health science libraries in the Middle East also have the potential t
 o tackle health misinformation\, and encourage evidence-based practice. Th
 e symposium will bring together medical information professionals from the
  region and internationally to explore and consider our role in health lit
 eracy and science communication\, as well as opportunities for further res
 earch.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\nThe Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar Distributed eLibr
 ary is pleased to host a one-day symposium on the Evolving Health Informa
 tion Landscape. Keynotes\, presentations\, and discussions will cover cha
